I’ve been taking a little break from painting. I haven’t so much as lifted a paintbrush since August, in fact. I just took a scunner to it and decided it was high time to recharge my artistic batteries.
If you’re not blessed with a knowledge of Scottish vocabulary, at this stage you may be wondering what a ‘scunner’ is. Here’s a helpful dictionary definition:

For the future
Of course, some people might think it’s a good thing that I’ve stopped painting. If they do think that way, they should watch out, because I’m starting to recover from my scunnerment. At least, I’m feeling much more positive about the idea of painting again. I expect I’ll get back to it before long.
